HYDROCEL hydroxylpropylce (HPC) is a nonionic water-soluble cellulose ether with a versatile combination of propertyes:it combines organic sovent solubility,thermoplasticity,and surface activeity with the thickening and stabilizing propertyes of other water-soluble cellulose polymers.

Outstanding Characteristics

Hydrocel is soluble in many polar organic solvents and in water below 38℃,but is insoluble in water above 45℃.Hydrocel is highly surface-active,with low surface and interfaceial tensions of soluteions.It has a wide range of viscosities of varying concentrateions in water.It is thermoplastic and can be injection molded and extruded,in films and coatings.

Uses

Hydrocel is versatile :it is used in wide variety of applications,includeing food,cosmetics,pharmaceuticals,coatings,adhesives,extrusions and moldings,paper,paint removers,encapsulateions,inks,and many other applications requiring a film-former,stabilizer,suspending agent,film barrier,thermoplastic,orprotective colloid.
